CHIEF LESCHI BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM HAD THEIR UPS AND DOWNS THIS SEASON, BUT FINISHED ON A HIGH NOTE BY MAKING IT TO THE STATE TOURNAMENT.

The Chief Leschi Warriors Basketball Team has had an incredible season. They finished the league season as Seatac League South Division Champions. They competed in the League Tournament and finished second. But, Feb. 23 the team really proved themselves. They defeated the LaConner Braves, a team ranked fourth in the state coaching polls, and guaranteed themselves a berth to the state tournament in Spokane which began March 2. The team was anchored by the calm coaching of Head Coach Eric Smith and led on the court by senior co-captains Ali Ahmad and Joey Bisson. Ali Ahmad and Joey Bisson combined for 23 points. Also suited up in the LaConner game were; Seniors JJ Jones and Alex St. Germain, Juniors Michael Wallace and Tyler Savini, Sophomores Jordan Foley, Nate Bisson, Ralph Ahmad and Brian Castillo and Freshman Joe Rideout.
Congratulations Warriors – we are proud of you!!!! Good luck at state.
